Accounts Receivable Associate, CoStar Group - Richmond, VA

Role Overview Accounts Receivable Associate – Richmond, VA (In‑office, Monday – Friday) As part of CoStar Group’s finance team, the Associate will manage full‑cycle accounts receivable in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, customer‑centric environment. Responsibilities include monitoring AR aging, driving payment performance, and maintaining strong client relationships while collaborating with sales and other internal partners. Key Responsibilities Improve AR performance by monitoring and reporting AR aging metrics. Identify and resolve customer issues related to slow pay or non‑payment of invoices through proactive communication with clients and the sales team. Drive high customer satisfaction (CSAT/NPS) and retention through relationship building and courteous communication. Understand the company’s AR‑collections life cycle, focusing on root‑cause analysis and AR aging prevention within a 3‑month timeframe. Escalate slow or non‑pay accounts at 60‑day thresholds to sales and AR management for support. Balance portfolio performance while supporting occasional projects and ad‑hoc reporting requests. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Track record of commitment to prior employers. Ability to resolve customer inquiries promptly with strong customer service skills. Time‑management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize business outcomes. Proficiency with Excel (data manipulation, filtering, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Oracle Advanced Collections experience preferred. Experience collaborating with internal business partners. Strong focus, attention to detail, and flexibility to adapt to changing situations in a high‑growth environment. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year(s) of experience in financial services, including collections, accounts payable, billing, cash applications, or customer service.
