Accounts Receivable Accountant

The AR Accountant will be responsible for managing the full accounts receivable cycle, supporting month-end close activities, and partnering with internal teams to improve processes and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role requires a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly and continuous improvement is encouraged. Key Responsibilities Manage the full accounts receivable process, including invoicing, cash applications, collections, and account reconciliations. Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely payment. Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer payment issues. Prepare and maintain AR aging reports and communicate collection trends to leadership. Process daily cash receipts and accurately apply payments to customer accounts. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. Reconcile AR subledger balances to the general ledger. Support revenue accounting and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Collaborate with sales, customer success, and operations teams to improve billing accuracy and collection efforts. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance internal controls as the organization grows. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Two or more years of accounts receivable, accounting, or related experience. Strong understanding of AR processes, reconciliations, and general accounting principles. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with ERP or accounting software systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Demonstrated desire to learn, take on additional responsibilities, and grow within an organization.
