Interim Accounting Manager [Remote]

LaSalle Network is partnering with an operating company backed by a large private equity firm to hire an Interim Accounting Manager. As the organization continues to grow through acquisition, the accounting team is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support integration efforts and maintain day-to-day accounting operations during a critical transition period while helping out with an acquisition. 

This is a hands-on contract opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working through the details of transactional accounting. The ideal candidate is highly independent, thrives in fast-paced M&A environments, and can quickly step in to support accounting operations with minimal oversight.

What You’ll Do

• Support day-to-day accounting operations during an active acquisition and business integration.
• Perform detailed general ledger analysis, account reconciliations, and transaction-level research.
• Assist with full-cycle accounts payable activities, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and timely.
• Review and resolve accounting discrepancies while maintaining the integrity of financial records.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Assist with accounting clean-up efforts and integration of newly acquired entities.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve accounting processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Support the implementation and transition from QuickBooks to NetSuite.
• Take ownership of assigned projects while delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience with strong general ledger and transactional accounting expertise.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, business integrations, or accounting clean-up projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience working in QuickBooks; NetSuite implementation or conversion experience is a strong plus.
• Highly detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated professional who can work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate remotely across cross-functional teams.
