Senior Accountant:
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with SaaS industry experience to join our team as a full-time employee, supporting a variety of client accounting projects across multiple industries. This role is ideal for an adaptable accounting professional who enjoys dynamic environments and applying technical expertise to diverse business operations.
The Senior Accountant will be deployed to different client engagements throughout the year, providing hands-on accounting support, process improvement, financial reporting, and project-based expertise while being employed through a Full-Time team.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Project Engagement
- Serve as a senior accounting resource on long-term client projects.
- Quickly assess client accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
- Provide interim support during transitions, growth phases, audits, system implementations, or staffing gaps.
- Collaborate with client leadership to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
Technical & Systems Support
- Lead or support ERP implementations, system conversions, and process improvements.
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend enhancements.
- Develop standardized reporting packages and dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Public accounting or multi-industry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with multiple ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Advanced Excel skills
