Make a meaningful impact in early childhood development by delivering essential physical therapy services to infants. This contract position is designed to cover a maternity leave, running from October 19 through April 2. You'll work closely with a collaborative Infant Team—including a teacher, SLP, OT, VI, and DHH professionals—to ensure every child receives comprehensive and compassionate care.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience in pediatric or infant therapy, particularly within school settings
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort and flexibility providing home-based services
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to each child’s unique needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy interventions to a caseload of approximately 37 infants, focusing on developmental milestones
- Travel to children's homes to provide individualized therapy sessions
- Collaborate daily with the Infant Team to coordinate care, share insights, and develop effective strategies for each case
- Maintain consistent documentation and communication with the broader support team
- Empower families by providing education and support for at-home activities to reinforce therapy goals
- Monitor and track each infant’s progress, adjusting strategies as developmental needs change
