Job Opportunity

Large food distribution company seeking someone that can fill into different positions within the company. Someone that is very team oriented and works well with all levels of personnel. The right candidate will be very computer literate and have good communication skills.

Compensation

$90K to $110 Base (on experience) Plus Commission! The Sales team is responsible for selling the appropriate mix of products to new and existing customers in New York City Metro region.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop short and long-term marketing and sales strategy planning, to include increasing sales coverage to present accounts, as well as targeting new accounts
• Assist in the establishment of the sales budget and assume responsibility for keeping sales expenses within approved guidelines
• Assist in the preparation of a sales forecast that will achieve the desired profit level for the growth, as well as serve as production planning
• Assist in the development of new accounts to improve sales growth
• Prepare for and attend trade shows and distributor meetings
• Assist in the selection of monthly deals for promotion to increase our sales volume
• Monitor the effectiveness of the sales program for each area, taking corrective action in those areas that are not meeting the sales and budget goals
• Enter-into negotiations with customers for promotions sponsored by the company each month
• Visit stores to encourage the purchase of products
• Other duties assigned as required

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience within the food a/o beverage industry
• Proven B2B sales experience
• Administrative capabilities: Record-keeping and computing literacy is essential
• Attention to detail
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential
• Flexibility and adaptability
