About the Opportunity


Vaco Staffing is partnering with a well-established and growing international organization to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator for an immediate opening. This is a contract opportunity with the potential to become a permanent employee based on performance and business needs.


This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and providing excellent internal and external customer service.


Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently in a high-volume accounts payable environment.
• Handle approximately 80 invoices per day during peak business periods while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and payment processing.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and payment exceptions.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances.
• Respond promptly and professionally to vendor and internal accounts payable inquiries.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end accounts payable close activities.
• Partner with internal departments to ensure timely invoice approvals and payment processing.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Accounts Payable experience , preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word .
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Compensation & Schedule

• $21.00-$22.00 per hour , depending on experience.
• Contract position with strong potential for permanent hire.
• 100% onsite Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
