We're hiring an experienced Patient Access Representative for a 13-week contract supporting a busy Emergency Department in Pomona, California. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with hospital registration, admissions, or patient access experience who enjoy providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Pay

$23.00/hour on W2

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and accurately collect demographic information.

• Verify and enter insurance information into the system.

• Create and update patient records.

• Obtain required consents and authorizations.

• Identify appropriate insurance codes.

• Answer incoming calls and provide excellent customer service.

• Collaborate with department staff to meet scheduling needs.

• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• 1 2+ years of Patient Access, Hospital Registration, Admissions, or Medical Clerical experience.

• Previous healthcare registration experience preferred.

• Strong computer and data entry skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.

• Must live within 30 miles of the work location.

Schedule Expectations

• 5-day workweek with 8-hour shifts.

• Rotating weekends are mandatory.

• Must be available to work holidays.

• Flexible shift start times between 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, and 9:00 AM.

Dress Code

Business Casual attire is required.

Candidates should be comfortable following a professional appearance policy, including:

• No acrylic nails

• No unnatural hair colors

• Tattoos must be covered

• No visible facial or nose piercings

• Earrings should not extend beyond the earlobe or be hoop-style

• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this assignment.

• Orientation includes 12 hours of required onboarding.
