Job Description

SummaryApplies basic knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, engineering drawings, material properties, layout, and machining procedures to set-up and operate CNC machine tools accurately, safely and efficiently. DutiesSet up and operate CNC mills and lathesInspect and verify conformance to specificationsRequirementsUse Mills and Lathes with little supervisionCNC programming experience a plusExperience setting up fixtures, tooling, vices, and clampsOperate machines running complex and high tolerance componentsMaterials: stainless steel, steel, aluminumFollow all safety and work rules and practicesStrong work ethic and highly motivatedMeticulous attention to detail and well organizedStrong verbal communication skillsIndependent and willing to take initiativeAble to work in a fast-paced constantly changing environment with tight deadlines and occasional long hours BenefitsStrange Engineering offers a comprehensive compensation package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off, and 401K.ShiftThis position is for 2nd shift. 4:00 pm - 12:15 am (Mon - Thu) and 3:00pm - 9:15 (Fri)This position will initially work 1st shift until trained in our procedures.
