Position Overview

Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager and/or Assistant Chief Technologist, the CT Technologist performs a broad range of technical and professional responsibilities utilizing advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality CT images for radiologist interpretation.

This role combines technical expertise, patient care, and teamwork to ensure exceptional imaging services and a positive patient experience. All duties are performed in accordance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards.

To support departmental staffing needs, CT Technologists may be assigned to work at any YNHHS CT location, regardless of their regularly assigned work site.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program. Associate degree preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: One (1) to three (3) years of CT experience with routine imaging techniques. Demonstrated technical proficiency consistent with entry-level standards for routine CT imaging.
• Licensure & Certifications: ARRT RT(R) certification required. CT certification required, or 20 years of CT experience. Connecticut State License required. CPR certification preferred.
• Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in advanced CT imaging techniques. Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy. Experience with PACS systems and computer applications. Excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds to assist with patient transfers.
