Key Performance Indicators

(Availability) - Overall customer satisfaction. Point of sale surveys.

SMART - Inventory management and store order process audit. Scored on a 1-5 scale, with 1 being a pass, 2-3 an opportunity, and 4-5 a failure.

Renovations are excluded from audits.

Essential Responsibilities -

SERVICE: 40%

Creates an environment that allows customers to feel welcomed, important, and appreciated, increasing trust and loyalty. Conducts daily and weekly store tours, audits, and ensures reports are completed to confirm product conditions in stock meet company standards.

FINANCIAL: 30%

Performs daily and weekly administrative tasks (communications, online training, etc.). Assists in the planning and organization of the inventory process. Ensures claims, transfers, write-offs, and date checks are managed to reduce losses. Reviews and investigates excess reserve material to determine root cause and correct data if necessary.

LEADERSHIP: 15%

Promotes trust and respect among associates through collaboration, promotion of teamwork, and communication of specific company, department, and job information. Adheres to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.

COMPLIANCE/SAFETY: 15%

Ensures company standards are maintained in terms of safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity. Adheres to all regulatory compliance requirements related to food safety, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and country of origin labeling (COOL) and Department of Agriculture (DOA). Executes all product recalls and withdrawals in a timely manner, while ensuring all items are protected and removed from customer access. Reinforces safety programs by complying with safety procedures and inspecting and identifying unsafe conditions to report to store management. Notifies store management of customer or employee accidents. Reports all safety hazards or illegal activities, including theft, pilferage, or fraud. Ensures compliance with wage and hour policies and regulations. Cultivates a safety culture within the store. Ensures you and all associates work safely and have received necessary safety training. Ensures hazard assessments are posted for associate reference and personal protective equipment is available and used by all associates performing tasks within the department as needed. Ensures equipment is in good working order; reports and assists with remediation (e.g., blocking/tagging equipment) of safety hazards within the department.

Qualifications

• Relevant Experience Supervisory Experience 3 - 6 years minimum No Experience Required(s)
• Language(s) Language(s) required English preferred
• English and Spanish knowledge, skills, and abilities required Must be 18 years of age Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain it.
• Completion and background check.
• Strong customer service skills. Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Proficiency in computer applications used to operate the department effectively.

Physical Demands: While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk on various types of flooring, use manual dexterity, speak, see, hear, smell, and perform repetitive motions with both hands and/or both feet.

Frequently required to reach hand to waist or overhead height, carry, push, or lift various loads up to the required weights listed.

Occasionally required to sit, maintain balance, crouch, kneel, stoop, and climb up to 30 feet.

Work Conditions: While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee may be exposed to working in indoor, outdoor, cold, freezing, heating, and humidity conditions. Safety risk factors:

Frequently required to turn back and/or neck, walk on a slippery or cluttered floor surface, work with dangerous equipment, and be exposed to sharp objects.

Occasionally required to be exposed to loud noises, skin irritants, irritating dust, fumes, and aerosols, hazardous cleaning solutions, and other toxins.
