Restaurant or hospitality accounting experience is highly preferred, as this role supports multiple upscale restaurant concepts and works closely with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day accounting responsibilities with process improvement and collaboration across departments.What You'll DoPrepare and maintain monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesAssist with month-end and year-end closing activitiesReconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accountsAnalyze financial data and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracyAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as neededMaintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedulesSupport sales tax, property tax, and other regulatory filingsWork with restaurant management teams to research operational variances and accounting questionsPrepare reports for leadership to assist with financial decision-makingAssist with annual audits and provide requested documentationIdentify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controlsMaintain organized financial records while ensuring confidentiality and complianceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but previous experience consideredMinimum of 3 -5 years of accounting experienceRestaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit accounting experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principlesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulasExperience with accounting software and ERP systemsAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlinesHigh level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPositive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred QualificationsMulti-location accounting experienceExperience with restaurant POS and payroll systemsPublic accounting experience is a plusCPA designation or CPA candidate is a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time offEmployee dining discounts
