Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ histories of substance use and mental health challenges. Develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans targeting both addiction and underlying mental health issues throughout the duration of the therapy. Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. Collaborate with a diverse treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to deliver integrated care that addresses all facets of a client’s well-being. Involve and educate clients’ families in the therapeutic process, enhancing their understanding of addiction and ways to support their loved ones. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations, using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Patient Population / Client Focus Your work will primarily involve adults and adolescents facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. Many clients may have dual-diagnoses that require tailored approaches to therapy and recovery. You will be instrumental in creating a safe space where clients can express their feelings and overcome the stigmas often associated with addiction. Qualifications Must possess a valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or hold a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree. A Master’s or Doctorate in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required. A strong foundation in knowledge concerning evidence-based practices pertinent to substance abuse treatment and mental health counseling. Preferred Experience Specialized training, certifications, or clinical experience in addiction counseling is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with clients and facilitate therapeutic discussions, showcasing strong motivational interviewing skills. Experience working in a remote environment and utilizing telehealth systems. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials.
