Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pathologists Assistant to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including experience with hospital clinical laboratory procedures, gross anatomical specimen dissection, tissue processing, histological preparation, and autopsies (both adult and fetal). Certification as an ASCP - PA is required. Preferred candidates will also have experience with specimen accessioning, frozen section staining, postmortem examinations, and removal of brain and spinal cord. A master's degree is preferred.


Responsibilities include performing gross examinations, tissue dissection, specimen fixation, labeling, and microscopic sampling, reviewing patient clinical information, and assisting with tumor triage. The role requires familiarity with EPIC systems and participation in an 8-hour hospital orientation.


This contract offers 40 hours per week with no call, float, or weekend requirements. The position is suitable for those seeking a 16-week assignment.
