Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a dynamic educational setting supporting elementary-aged students as a paraprofessional. In this full-time, contract opportunity, you'll work alongside dedicated educators from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, assisting with both classroom and behavioral needs. This role is a backfill, requiring someone motivated and immediately able to provide consistency and skilled support within a school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid paraprofessional certification (required)
- Experience working in schools or with behaviorally-challenged students
- Proven reliability and commitment to a five-day-per-week schedule
- Confidence in managing diverse classroom and behavioral situations
- Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills
What You’ll Do:
- Support students individually and in small groups, addressing academic and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to implement educational and behavior management strategies
- Assist in the creation of a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Help students develop social, emotional, and academic skills
- Ensure student safety and well-being throughout the school day
- Follow all school policies and uphold consistent classroom routines
This position requires someone able to start quickly and adapt seamlessly. You'll become a vital resource to both students and staff, fostering positive growth and helping create an engaging learning environment.
