An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Occupational Therapist passionate about making a difference in school settings. This full-time, contract role spans the entire 26/27 academic year and offers the chance to serve a diverse group of students across a district-wide setting near Valley Center, CA. With a caseload of approximately 50 students and the valuable support of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you’ll play a key role in helping students achieve their fullest potential.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Active Occupational Therapy License in California required
- Prior experience in pediatric, school-based, or similar settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative approach and a team player mindset
- Ability to adapt and tailor intervention strategies to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create tailored intervention plans for students with varying abilities
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to support students' physical, sensory, and functional development
- Work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to facilitate student inclusion and success
- Track and document progress, adapting treatment plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and help guide educational strategies
