Job Announcement

The City of Chandler Building and Facilities Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Commercial/Industrial HVAC Senior Technician. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, consisting of five 8-hour shifts.

Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.

Who we are

The City of Chandler Building and Facilities Division consists of 20 positions, including technicians, support staff, and management. We support 70 multi-use buildings totaling more than one million square feet and extending over 65 square miles. Who we are looking for

Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are seeking a skilled professional who can perform preventative maintenance, repair, and installation on a wide variety of commercial/industrial heating, cooling, refrigeration, air filtration, and ventilation systems. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional service while working collaboratively to support the City's facilities and operations.

Minimum Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED; and

5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, including experience with large tonnage chilled water systems; and

An EPA & Refrigerant Certification upon hire or promotion; and A Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Certification within 1 year of hire or promotion; and

A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with building automation systems (BAS).

This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.

The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results.
