Part-Time Assistant Manager

Role Summary A Cinemark Assistant Manager assists in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational standards achieved. They are cross‑trained in all departments, support where needed, and provide inspirational training to all employees. Successful managers advance to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working at least six months. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager and support their decisions in communication with staff. Work in all departments and all theatre job functions. Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions. Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof and exterior signage, and equipment condition. Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager. Ensure theatre Team Members follow the dress code. Interact with guests for improved service and ensure Team Members provide superior customer service. Learn and follow policies and procedures established in Cinemark’s Guidelines; enforce them fairly and consistently. Report all employee‑relations issues to the General Manager (or, in absence, to following the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol. Maintain a high work‑ethic standard and code of conduct. Identify and sanitize high‑contact employee and guest areas. Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position‑specific tasks. Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Address any safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.). Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements At least 18 years of age. High school or GED graduate preferred. Completion of three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program. Completion of basic food‑handling training and any required local or state health card or food‑handlers permit. Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol. Availability for flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular and consistent attendance. Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift. Excellent guest service, accurate cash handling, basic math skills. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate in and comprehend English, interact with all ages and genders. Team‑work and independent work ability. Ability to take and follow direction, respond with a sense of urgency. Excellent time‑management, organizational skills, attention to detail. Ability to train and lead others. Conflict resolution skills. Physical & Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
