Production Supervisor

Location: Louisville, KY

Job Type: Direct Hire

Shift:
1st Shift - 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
2nd Shift - 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Pay: $23 - $25.00/hr.

About the Opportunity

Snelling is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a well-established manufacturing company in Louisville. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and enjoys motivating teams while driving safety, quality, and productivity.

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations, lead production employees, coordinate workflow, and ensure production goals are met efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead production employees, machine operators, material handlers, and shipping/receiving personnel.
• Promote and enforce all safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Coordinate daily production schedules to meet customer and operational goals.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards and efficiency are maintained.
• Inspect equipment, materials, and finished products for quality and operational issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Address employee performance concerns and provide ongoing feedback and support.
• Work closely with other supervisors and management to coordinate production activities across departments.
• Maintain production records, labor data, and operational reports.
• Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment utilization, and workflow efficiency.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and order necessary materials and supplies.
• Assist with hiring, training, and employee development initiatives.
• Perform equipment adjustments and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and data entry.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
• Frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, grasp, and climb as needed.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, and hard hat.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to loud equipment, moving machinery, changing temperatures, wet floors, and occasional outdoor conditions.
