Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting elementary students for a full-time contract position. This sought-after role runs from now through December, covering an FMLA maternity leave near Aurora, IL. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Previous experience with school-aged or elementary students preferred
- Understanding of IEP process and familiarity with school-based documentation
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Proficient in delivering both direct and consultative services
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing communication goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing insights and documentation
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records, data, and progress notes according to school guidelines
- Provide guidance, support, and consultation to classroom staff as needed
