Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Shift times: Days 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / Nights 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a stepdown/IMC/PCU float pool setting, with potential to float to additional units serving the same patient population
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations, achieving acceptable scores on both
• Rotate holiday coverage, expected to work at least every other holiday
• Adapt to variable shift assignments based on operational needs of the facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or the specialty being applied for
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference required from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience gained within a single facility or location (though combined experience across locations is considered)
• Familiarity with stepdown or progressive care environments in a high-acuity hospital setting
• Comfort working in a float pool model across multiple units
