Tax Staff Accountant

Job Overview Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman is seeking a Staff Tax Accountant with entertainment business management experience to join a dedicated team of professionals. The role focuses on preparing various client reports, simple to moderately complex tax returns, tax projections, and conducting tax research. This position operates on a hybrid schedule from our Nashville, TN office. Responsibilities Prepare individual, corporate (S corp and C corp), partnership, estate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt organization tax returns Review General Ledger and reports to assist in the preparation of tax projections Perform tax research and planning to resolve client tax issues Correspond with stakeholders regarding tax notices, jurisdictional issues, and tax audits Prepare closeouts for loan‑out corporations and analyze payroll withholding requirements for federal and state levels Assist in preparing financial reports that may include net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, tour reconciliations, etc. Assist with state, local, and international tax clearances for touring artists Support the client service team with additional projects as needed Qualifications 1+ years of experience preparing and/or reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns 3+ years in a similar role is highly preferred Bachelor’s degree required Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word Familiarity with AgilLink is a plus Familiarity with CCH tax software is a plus CPA or CPA eligibility is highly preferred Strong interpersonal skills including communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, and critical thinking Quick learner of new systems and processes Excellent organization skills with attention to detail Compensation and Benefits This is a non-exempt, overtime-eligible position. The annualized base pay range is expected to be between $60,000 and $80,000, depending on experience, subject-matter expertise, geographic location, and skill set.
