Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Team Member in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role offers the chance to support people first through teamwork, act with integrity, and bring a reliable, agile approach to daily operations in a professional public setting.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observed conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, assist with access control practices, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or disturbances according to site procedures.
• Support order at the location by providing directions, addressing routine concerns, and reporting maintenance, hazard, and/or policy-related issues through appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
