Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The Organization is seeking an experienced ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Cardiovascular (CVICU) Nurse to join a dynamic team in Madison, WI. This role involves providing specialized care for patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgeries, heart and lung transplants, and managing various medical devices within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Job Details Location: Madison, WI Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend rotation and some holidays. Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0 Certifications: WI or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Required Qualifications: Two years of recent acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty they are submitting to; experience with CVICU equipment and procedures including ARTERIAL line management, CVVH, Impella, IABP, ECMO, and other advanced monitoring and managing skills; must pass telemetry test prior to start. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery, Acuity Adaptable areas, and familiarity with Epic charting system. Additional Information: The role requires passing a strict pass/fail telemetry exam with two attempts, covering identification of lethal heart rhythms. Travelers may be required to float as needed within a 50-mile radius. Submittal Requirements: Must meet minimum experience and certification requirements, and successfully pass required testing prior to assignment start.
