ANALYST II

The Analyst II is responsible for a wide range of varied and complex analytical duties, independently reviewing, evaluating, assessing, and monitoring programs and projects that contribute to improving services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The Analyst II is accountable for independent administrative responsibilities such as attending meetings, taking notes, summarizing information, drafting documents and reports, and independently developing and presenting recommendations to leadership within the Community Services Division. This position requires strong organizational, computer and communication skills, in addition to the ability to work well with a variety of people and to handle multiple projects with tight timelines.
Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three percent in exchange for five hours per month of the Personal Leave.You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement . Working Conditions
Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbent can be required to report to the office, or any designated location at any time. Telework agreements can be modified and/or cancelled at any time. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate. Pursuant to California Government Code requirements, candidates must be residents of the State of California at the time of appointment. This position requires lawful authorization to work in the United States. The Department does not sponsor employment visas for this position.

Department Information
The California Department of Developmental Services (Department) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers. The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The Department is located in a modern, sustainable and innovative office building at 1215 "O" Street, Sacramento, California. Some amenities of the building include:
- First floor retail space (separate access from 12 th Street)

- Outdoor seating for meal breaks
- Employee fitness center which includes a yoga studio, cardio equipment and weights
- Plaza area with kitchenette on each floor
- Lactation rooms
Special Requirements
The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be numbered in the same order as the following areas, typed in 12-point Arial font, single spaced, and be no more than two pages in length. - Provide an example of a disability or health-related project or initiative for which you provided support and monitoring. What tasks or analysis were assigned, what tools did you use, and what was the outcome?

Knowledge of : The Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act, developmental disabilities, the regional center service system, and processes and protocols in California state government. Principles, practices and trends of public and business administration including management, supportive staff services, and employee supervision. Formal and informal aspects of the legislative process. Administration and departments goals and policies. Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint and other online software applications. Ability to : Develop and maintain cooperative and harmonious relationships with department and regional center staff, the public and others. Work with professional personnel in the field relating to coordinating and developing services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Work effectively, both independently and as a team member. Analyze situations accurately and take effective action. Speak and write effectively. Reason logically and creatively. Analyze data from a variety of sources and present information and ideas effectively. Review and edit written reports. Create and maintain dashboards and trackers. Establish project priorities and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
