In this role, you will serve as the senior financial leader for our Thacker Pass Operations, working out of our Winnemucca office, responsible for financial planning and analysis, site-level reporting, internal controls, and business partnership with operational leadership. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission‐driven organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and leadership in the clean energy sector.The role is based of our Winnemucca, Nevada office and reports to the Vice President, FP&A. Occasional travel to other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.**Key Responsibilities*** Lead all site-level FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long‐range planning* Oversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to Corporate Finance* Serve as the primary finance business partner to the Site General Manager, providing insights that support operational and strategic decision‐making* Lead and develop the site-based finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement* Ensure the effectiveness of SOX internal controls and maintain strong financial governance across all site processes* Support cost accounting, inventory management, capital project evaluation, and operational KPI reporting* Coordinate internal and external audit activities and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies* Builds and maintains trusted relationships across all teams while championing a culture that reflects and supports our Purpose, Vision, and Values* Perform other duties as assigned**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field* CPA designation required (U.S. or Canadian)* 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership responsibility at a manufacturing, chemical, mining, or industrial operation* Demonstrated experience as a finance leader at an operating site (e.g., plant controller, mine controller, or similar)* Strong background in FP&A, cost accounting, operational finance, and financial reporting* Proven ability to lead teams, partner with operational leaders, and drive performance improvement* Deep understanding of SOX internal controls and financial compliance requirements* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‐solving skills* Personal commitment to Lithium Americas’ Purpose, Vision, and Values**Working at Lithium Americas**At Lithium Americas, we believe our people are our most valuable asset.
