Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations to identify clients' needs and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.

• Provide a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring each approach is tailored to match the unique requirements of clients.

• Employ therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused brief therapy as needed.
\n
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, aiming for a holistic approach to client wellness.

• Maintain thorough and accurate clinical records in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements while utilizing our electronic medical record (EMR) system.

• Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and advancements in the mental health field, participating in professional development activities to enhance counseling practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, addressing various mental health challenges including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship dynamics. Our client base is reflective of the vibrant community in Jersey City, encompassing individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, which enriches the therapeutic process and reinforces the importance of cultural competence in practice.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
\n
• Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in providing counseling services, ideally within an outpatient or telehealth setting.

• Strong understanding and adherence to ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing counseling practices.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to foster rapport with clients of diverse cultures and backgrounds.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals as part of a treatment team.

• Proficiency in EMR systems and technology-oriented approaches to counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in specialized areas such as trauma, substance abuse, family dynamics, or couples therapy is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Compensation for this role ranges between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, contingent on caseload and experience.
