Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in individual clients, ensuring personalized attention to their unique experiences.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating their personal goals and preferences into evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Utilize established methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide effective therapeutic interventions that promote coping and resilience.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, empowering them with knowledge about their conditions and the strategies available for self-care and management.

• Continuously monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs and circumstances effectively.

• Engage in collaborative practices with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Stay informed on the latest research in mental health and mood disorders to refine your treatment methodologies and remain at the forefront of effective care.

• Maintain detailed documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in internal team meetings and case consultations to share insights and best practices with colleagues, fostering a supportive learning environment.

• Advocate for clients, working towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental health issues and promoting their rights and needs within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals struggling with mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder, as well as related anxiety disorders. You will be engaging with adult clients who come from a variety of backgrounds, each bringing their unique set of circumstances and challenges. Your work will be instrumental in guiding them through their therapeutic journeys, helping them achieve improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LPCC in the state of California.

• Minimum of three years of professional experience, with a strong preference for candidates with specific expertise in mood disorders.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based practices for the treatment of mood disorders, including but not limited to CBT and DBT.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of three years of experience is required, candidates with extensive training in both individual and group therapy models, particularly addressing mood disorders, will be highly regarded. Experience with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) is a definite plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this full-time position is between $115,000 and $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
