Through strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you will help ensure accurate financial reporting and provide analysis that supports informed business decisions.A significant portion of this role will focus on executing and maintaining the Engineering Cost Model (ECM), which allocates Micron's engineering expenses across the technologies and programs that engineering supports. The model is a key input to investment analysis and resource planning, helping leaders understand where engineering resources are being invested and how investments are evolving over time.This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in financial modeling, business analytics, cost allocations, and automation while gaining exposure to Micron's engineering organization, technology roadmap, and innovation investments.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Cost Modeling & Investment AnalyticsOwn the monthly and quarterly execution of the ECM, which allocates engineering investments across Micron's product, technology, and development portfoliosPerform data collection, validation, reconciliation, and analysis to ensure model accuracy and completenessProduce allocation outputs and supporting analyses used to evaluate investment trends, resource deployment, and strategic prioritiesMaintain model documentation and controls while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process enhancementsBusiness PartneringSupport a designated engineering organization through planning, forecasting, reporting, and budget management activitiesProvide financial analysis and decision support to help leaders evaluate spending, resource allocation, and investment opportunitiesBuild collaborative relationships with business partners to understand priorities, communicate financial results, and support informed decision makingFinancial Planning & AnalysisSupport planning, forecasting, budgeting, and business review processes for R&D organizationsPrepare financial analyses and models to evaluate spending trends, resource requirements, and business performanceMonitor financial results versus plan and investigate significant variancesProcess Improvement & AutomationLeverage AI-enabled tools, automation, and advanced analytics to improve productivity, reporting, and data qualitySupport continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, reporting, and modeling activitiesMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field1–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, analytics, or a related business functionExperience working with large datasets, financial models, reporting tools, or analytical processesStrong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience using AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and business processesExperience with Power BI or comparable data visualization toolsAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
