The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. Major Duties & Responsibilities Welcome all customers and set expectations with customers Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses Act as a leader in optical acumen Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions Use technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume; demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and appropriate tool use Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded; solution‑driven Multi‑task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies Take pride in store appearance; help keep store clean, attractive and organized Inform management of safety opportunities; demonstrate safe work practices Be resourceful, self‑motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement and results Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management Basic Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent State licensure Optical dispensing experience Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder Knowledge of current store merchandise Strong basic math skills Awareness of current fashion trends Sales skills – ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators Embrace new technology and change Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service and retail experience Compensation & Benefits Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, employees may be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first‑class total rewards package.
