Quality TechnicianLocation: Grand Prairie, TXPay Rate: $22.00/hourSchedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM2nd Shift | 4:30pm-3amMonday–FridayFriday's will be mandatory overtimeMust be available to work rotating weekends on SaturdayPosition SummaryThe Quality Technician will report directly to the Director of Quality and serve as a Quality representative for the Grand Prairie facility. This position will work closely with production and management to ensure quality standards are consistently met, identify and resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesWork independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong initiative.Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other quality measurement tools.Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting tight deadlines and production requirements.Utilize Microsoft Office applications for documentation, reporting, and communication.Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.Communicate effectively with production employees, supervisors, management, and other departments.Work closely with Production to identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues.Assist the Quality Supervisor/Manager with:Corrective Action activitiesCustomer quality concernsNon-conforming materialSupplier-related quality issuesMaintain accurate quality documentation and records.Support company quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements.Perform additional quality-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Quality.Preferred / Additional Qualifications:The following experience is a plus:Previous Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience in sheet metal manufacturing or metal fabrication.Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.Familiarity with quality inspection processes, documentation, and corrective action procedures.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working directly with both production personnel and management. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve quality issues are essential for success in this role.
