Veterinary Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Summary As a Veterinary Laboratory Technician at IDEXX, you perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. In this role You will: Use automated analyzers, microscopes, and other diagnostic tools to analyze blood, urine, fecal, or biopsy samples. Perform analyses in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Serology. Set up, run, and read tests according to Standard Operating Procedures. Cross‑train in all laboratory areas and specialize in an assigned department. More about departments: Qualifications You must have extensive experience in a veterinary laboratory and a background in Animal Science or an equivalent skillset. Your qualifications include: Microscopy experience, including reading manual differentials and urinalysis tests. Experience setting up, running, and interpreting veterinary clinical pathology samples (Chemistry, Hematology, and Urine). Proficiency with laboratory equipment such as microscopes, pipettes, and clinical diagnostic analyzers. A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and reliability. Physical ability to stand and sit for extended periods, lift up to 50lb, and use a computer and phone. Prepared to work with biohazards, zoonotic agents, and hazardous chemicals. Benefits and Compensation Hourly rate for highly skilled technicians: $35 per hour. Additional benefits include: Annual cash bonus and merit pay increase consideration.
