Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Assistance in Glendale, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to students, staff, and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. - Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate school offices or authorized locations.
- Document observations, incidents, and unusual activity accurately and communicate relevant information to school representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
