Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Tablet Patrol in Glendale, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:30 AM - 04:00 PMTue07:30 AM - 04:00 PMWed07:30 AM - 04:00 PMThur07:30 AM - 04:00 PMFri07:30 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, parking areas, athletic facilities, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established school and Allied Universal protocols. Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or hazardous conditions, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate school offices or locations. Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
