Responsibilities:Provide tax provision, compliance, and advisory services to a variety of clients from Fortune 100 to emerging businesses Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide insurance industry knowledge and experience in the review of statutory and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) income tax provisionsManage a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients Lead teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects Handle risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets Advise clients and be responsible for delivering high quality tax service and adviceQualifications:Minimum eight years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firmBachelor's degree from an accredited college/universityLicensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that listStrong knowledge of ASC 740Experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnershipsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex informationKPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
