As a Security Officer Government Building Access Control in Irvine, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This role blends customer service, communication, and access awareness in a people-first culture built on teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $24.31 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed, helping to support authorized entry and maintaining awareness of visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Communicate with site contacts, employees, and local responders when appropriate regarding security-related issues, policy questions, and/or incident updates.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have access control or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
