Talent Acquisition Specialist

Position Summary The Talent Acquisition Specialist will directly impact organizational capabilities through a quality hiring and selection process that provides the appropriate mix of skills, talent, and diversity. The individual will be involved in sourcing, interviewing, and screening applicants, and other related selection activities. This position will be based in Glendale, AZ and will support the hiring needs of this site (400 team members), reporting directly to the Glendale HR Manager. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner in the development and implementation of our talent acquisition and recruiting strategy and use their skills to create compelling job postings, source and network with passive and out‑of‑area candidates, and drive quality hires for hard‑to‑fill roles at all levels while working closely with hiring managers. Responsibilities Drive progressive integrated talent acquisition solutions using multiple sourcing methods including direct sourcing, social and industry networking, employee referrals, internet sourcing, pre‑employment assessments and other avenues identified. Engage and attract top talent by reviewing candidate resumes and performing initial interviews to identify qualifications, skills and abilities required for the position ensuring they are a fit to the company culture. Proactively engage the hiring team to understand hiring challenges and provide innovative solutions to address hiring needs for the organization. Make recommendations to hiring managers on top candidates to interview. Present, negotiate and close employment offers as well as support the final candidate in the pre‑boarding phase. Provide innovative recruiting ideas and strategies that result in timely flow and hire of qualified applicants. Identify and meet recruitment goals by tracking, analyzing, and reporting strategic recruiting metrics to management. Build a pipeline for current and future roles ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and speed. Support and participate in job fairs; network with schools and community groups; serve as a Parker brand and culture ambassador. Participate in key project teams to generate and drive TA strategy within the organization. Ensure that procedures are consistently used for all positions to ensure compliance with EEOC and OFCCP. Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Human Resources, Business, or related field with at least four years of increasingly responsible talent acquisition experience. Ideal technical or manufacturing recruiting background in the Phoenix metro area. Knowledge of EEOC and OFCCP compliance requirements applied to the recruitment process. Ability to use standard business application software, HRIS and recruitment systems. Ability to solve a wide range of unique problems that may require new approaches or significant modification of standard procedure. Ability to establish goals and objectives and manage projects to completion; demonstrate team member competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self‑development activities. Ability to communicate effectively and deliver persuasive presentations on complex topics to top management and/or customers; write clear and concise reports, business correspondence, and policy manuals; and work effectively with all levels inside and outside of the organization. Demonstrate a strong sense of self‑motivation, accountability and responsibility as well as a commitment to customer service, company values and the organization. High degree of integrity while handling highly confidential information discreetly and appropriately.
