SDA CAM Duties include leading, planning, budgeting, and managing the technical/schedule/cost performance for the Systems Engineering team. The SDA CAM will sit at the intersection of engineering execution and program management — helping our Chief Systems Engineers (CSEs) maintain real-time visibility into headcount, schedule, and cost performance across multiple programs. This role requires precision, clear communication, and a continuous improvement mindset.The Project Engineer will interact with a multi-disciplinary engineering team through development and production phases. The preferred candidate should have prior experience with cost, schedule, and technical management of systems with a significant budget. In addition to the primary role of a Project Engineer/CAM the candidate may be expected to provide support for other tasks to include ROM and Proposal coordination and input, which will include BOE coordination and writing.In this role you will:Address headcount challenges and resource constraintsManage control account performance and elevate concerns/issues to program management and/or other impacted stakeholdersIdentify risks and opportunities and implement approved actionsManage resources, analyze trends, and develop analytics to ensure credible schedules and Estimates at Complete (EACs)Identify and manage control accounts’ schedule health and critical pathAnalyze and report variances and proactively implement corrective actionsEnsure all EVM required documentation is complete and meets compliance requirements for responsible control accountsEnsure current CAM certification and training is always maintainedThe information below reflects the standard job description for this position:Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases.
