Quality Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspections and other quality assurance functions in support of manufacturing. So, what will you be doing as a Quality Inspector? Perform inspections/verifications on product, components, and processes based upon specified requirements. Use of inspection equipment from basic to complex (e.g. CMM). These include in-process, first piece/article, and final inspections. Perform receiving inspection on raw materials, components and supplier receipts. Implement and maintain systems that are related to the AS & ISO Quality Management System. Maintain records concerning supplier performance both present and historically. Interface with purchasing on issues related to approved sources. Document, file and identify raw material and associated certifications. Maintain appropriate verification documents based on inspection data/duties performed. Gather quality data and present the results in an organized manner. Process non-conformances. Interface with other individuals on issues related to quality. Aid operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures. Aid the Quality Manager on issues related to product performance, supplier performance or system performance. Perform and document inspections in accordance with customer requirements. Present jobs for source inspection. Customer and supplier interface (phone, e-mail and in person) for management of day to day activities where required. Utilization of ERP system and customer portals, where applicable, to manage inspection data and work activities.
