Strategic Planning Manager

I’m partnering with a manufacturing client in the Greater St. Charles area that is adding a Strategic Planning Manager to their team due to an upcoming transition within leadership. This is a highly visible role supporting executive leadership on strategic planning, operational analysis, forecasting, margin improvement initiatives, and special projects that directly impact the business. Key Responsibilities This is NOT just a “sales planning” role. They need someone who can take complex business and operational data and turn it into:

• Here’s what the data is telling us”
• Here’s the risk/opportunity”
• Here’s what we should do next”

The role reports into a senior leader who is heavily involved across the business, so they need someone who can: Work independently Take direction well Handle both strategic thinking AND tactical execution Jump into special projects when needed Examples of the type of work: Margin and profitability analysis Cross-functional business reviews Supply chain and sourcing analysis Special projects that can range from operational planning to supply chain investigations One recent project involved tracing raw material sourcing across manufacturers to validate compliance requirements internationally. So yes… definitely a role for someone who likes solving problems and digging into details.
