About the Position

Emergency Department (ED) Travel RN – 12hr Nights

Position Overview

• Location: Kenosha, WI

• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (1900–0730)

• Hours: 36 hours per week

• Duration: Standard Contract

Facility & Unit Highlights

Join a supportive, well-equipped team in Kenosha. This facility combines a manageable unit size with a robust support system, making it an excellent environment for both seasoned and first-time travel nurses.

• Facility Profile: 74-bed hospital featuring a Level IV Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Accredited Chest Pain Center.

• ED Capacity: 21 beds plus a 6-bed annex.

• Patient Population: All ages.

• Unit Support: 24/7 in-house ED Physicians and Hospitalists, 24/7 HUCs, and Phlebotomy assistance for peripheral blood draws.

• Charge Nurse: Working charge with a reduced patient assignment.

Compensation & Shift Details

• Ratios: Nurse ratio is 1:4 ; Tech ratio is 1:8 (consistent for days and nights).

• Weekends: Rotating weekends (only 1 weekend per month required).

• Holidays: Rotating holidays.

• Call: None.

• Floating: None.

• Time Off: Up to 7 days of requested time off can be approved.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience.

• Skills: Strong critical care level skillset. Must be comfortable managing nursing station telemetry monitoring (no dedicated tele tech on site).

• Required Certifications:

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS

  • NIHSS

  • TNCC or TNS

  • CPI or MOAB

Technology & Logistics

• EMR: EPIC

• Equipment: Alaris IV Pumps, Pyxis Med Dispensing, Client Monitors.

• Orientation: Minimum 1 shift dedicated to unit flow and orientation.

• Scrubs: Any solid, professional color (no graphics, logos, or designs).

• Parking: On-site and 100% Free .
