Lead Technical Program Manager - Security

Overall Purpose Responsible for leading and delivering complex business and technical projects, including project planning and execution spanning multiple organizations. Successfully partnering to define and deliver solutions and mechanisms that have a long‑term beneficial impact on product, company technology, or engineering. Ensures projects follow product and project methodologies and are completed on time, on budget, and in scope. Essential Functions Own and manage multiple aspects of interrelated project workstreams independently with engineering teams. Deliver cross‑functional projects from inception to completion that are of high quality (secure, testable, maintainable, low‑defects). Enforce product and project lifecycle processes from discovery to post‑deployment in compliance with audit, risk and compliance committees. Prepare detailed project plans and status reports for all stakeholders, including executive leadership. Monitor projects, evaluate progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues. Define technical requirements and design; work with technical leadership to drive end‑to‑end solutions and provide technical insights. Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form to all audiences, including senior leadership. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and support risk management and confidentiality of systems and data. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and milestones. Lead the resolution of contentious issues and foster constructive dialogue. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience managing large complex projects in a technical or software development environment. Strong technical background and experience working with engineering or development teams. Experience with AI (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Claude, etc. Proficiency with Jira/Planview or equivalent (optional); Excel required. Security experience, especially in financial institutions or regulatory industries, and familiarity with data processing, application systems, and communication systems. Strong teamwork, coaching/mentoring, and collaboration skills across diverse cross‑functional teams. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills adaptable to varying audiences. Self‑starter with ability to balance results and collaboration, and proactively drive process improvements. Background and drug screen required. Preferred Qualifications Agile / ScrumMaster certifications and/or related certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.). Demonstrated people leadership in business and technical environments. Compensation & Benefits Base pay ranges by location: Phoenix, AZ / Chicago, IL / Washington, DC: $131,000 - $160,000. New York, NY / San Francisco, CA: $157,000 - $192,000.
