Desktop Support Technician

Job Description
This person will provide 100% onsite deskside support for County of Orange employees in Santa Ana. They’ll troubleshoot Windows 11 hardware and software issues, configure and refresh desktops/laptops, set up users and accounts, and provide hands-on technical support across several nearby County buildings. The manager is looking for someone junior-level who is technically capable but also polished, communicative, and comfortable supporting high-level users
Skills and Requirements
2–5 years of corporate desktop support / deskside support experience Professional experience supporting Windows 11 Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues Experience with desktop installation and configuration, including OS refreshes Strong customer service and communication skills Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field Reliable transportation and comfortable working 100% onsite in Santa Ana, including traveling between nearby County building Experience supporting VIPs / executive or high-level users Experience troubleshooting mobile devices Experience setting up user accounts, including email, LDAP, and VPN Experience with software/hardware lifecycle management and deployments
