Human Resources Generalist

HR GENERALISTA commercial construction company in Northwest Houston is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to take ownership of its newly established HR function.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys taking ownership and making an impact. This will be the company's first dedicated HR position, supporting approximately 50 employees. HR responsibilities have historically been handled by the CFO, so this individual will have the opportunity to take ownership of the function, establish and improve processes, and help shape HR practices as the company continues to grow. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, hands-on HR Generalist with strong benefits experience who is comfortable working independently while also being part of an "all hands on deck" team environment.Responsibilities include:Manage the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs and serve as a resource for employees regarding benefitsReview existing HR processes and identify opportunities to improve organization, consistency, and efficiencyDevelop and streamline employee onboarding processes and proceduresAssist with the continued development and coordination of the company's internship programCreate and update job descriptions across the organizationSupport and help coordinate the company's employee wellness programEstablish processes and procedures for the HR function as the company's first dedicated HR professionalMaintain organized and accurate employee and HR documentationPartner with leadership on HR-related needs and initiativesTake ownership of day-to-day HR responsibilities while remaining flexible and willing to assist wherever neededQualifications:5–7 years of HR Generalist experienceStrong hands-on experience with employee benefits administrationBilingual English/Spanish requiredProactive and self-directed with the ability to take ownership of the HR functionStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to develop, improve, and implement processes and proceduresCollaborative, team-oriented approach and comfortable in an "all hands on deck" environmentCommercial construction or construction industry experience is a strong plusDetails:Direct Hire$80K–$90K, depending on experience100% onsiteMonday–FridayNorthwest HoustonHOUNW35 #ZR
