Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our high-mix, quick-changeover machining team in Hillside, IL. This role is ideal for a hands‑on machinist who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and has strong experience in performing machine setups, changeovers, and on‑the‑floor programming. You will play a key role in producing precision components while maintaining efficiency and minimizing downtime. Responsibilities Complete setups and changeovers on CNC lathes for short‑run and high‑mix production. Program and edit CNC lathe programs directly at the machine using G‑code programming. Load tooling, fixtures, and raw materials to meet job specifications. Interpret blueprints, job routers, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production. Conduct first‑piece inspections and in‑process checks using precision measuring instruments. Make necessary offsets and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances. Troubleshoot machining and program issues to minimize downtime. Maintain production efficiency in a quick‑changeover environment. Follow all safety and quality procedures and maintain a clean work area. Essential Skills 3+ years of CNC lathe machining experience in a production environment. Ability to perform setups and changeovers independently. Experience programming CNC lathes at the machine. Strong blueprint reading and GD&T understanding. Proficiency with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑mix/low‑volume environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in using Fanuc and Haas machines. Experience with Mastercam software. Why Work Here?
