CNC Machinist (Finish Turn Lathe)

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Finish Turn Operator for our operation in New Castle, PA. The Finish Turn Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating a CNC lathe to machine our forged steel rolls. Competitive Wage $20.50/hr commensurate with experience, benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, paid time off (PTO), additional paid relief days, $1,000 sign on bonus, and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program. Responsibilities Set up and operate lathe and controller Inspect forging/roll; report any deviation from specification Machine forging/roll to specification Preventative maintenance on lathe Perform other department duties, as assigned Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs occasionally throughout shift Exposed to seasonal temperature changes Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Previous CNC or machining experience required Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment and/or heavy machinery required Must be able to read/interpret blueprints Strong attention to detail Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills Must be able to pass criminal background check, drug screen and physical.
