Lab Computing Technician

Lab Support TechnicianZifo is looking for a Lab support technician to join our Lab Computing team. This position will work closely with the Lab computing team and clients to troubleshoot issues with hardware and software in the pharmaceutical laboratory setting.This role will require full-time on-site presence at a client site in the greater Boston area. This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.Responsibilities:Support the end-user desktop including, but not limited to, troubleshooting issues, implementing approved software, and removing older software versionsSetting-up, maintenance and administration of end user computer devices and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurationsSome troubleshooting of lab instruments/lab computer systems interfaces. Assist in data storage solutionsDuties will include troubleshooting and repair of OS's, MS Office Suite products including Outlook email and calendar issues, a variety of 3rd party software applications, hardware issues, laptop parts replacement, imaging, data wiping, asset control, and detailed ticket documentationRequired Skills:Excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, multi-tasking skills, ticket management/documentation skills, written and verbal communication skills are requiredAbility to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resourcesStrong written and verbal communication skillsProvide positive customer experiences when working with usersCan manage multiple projects / tickets simultaneouslyQuickly diagnose issues and work to resolveAdapt to an ever-changing environment
