• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $77.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Day/Night rotating shift — 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3×12s only). Shifts may be variable; if needed to meet the operational needs of the hospital, every effort will be made to honor the preferred shift, but the facility reserves the right to rotate if necessary.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Step Down (HVTI-Stepdown) travel nursing assignment at a major hospital main campus, with potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population. This position is an auto-offer role for 3×12 schedules only.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the HVTI-Stepdown unit.
• Float as needed to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population.
• Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation; an acceptable score on both assessments is required.

Education Requirements

• Must have a permanent Ohio RN license or a Compact State RN license — must be in hand at time of submission.
• AHA or facility-accepted BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered).
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered).

Required Experience

• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for (preferably within one location, but combined experience is acceptable).
• Minimum 18 months of recent Step Down experience required; travel experience will suffice.

Preferred Skills

• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Day/Night rotating shifts; shifts may be variable to meet operational needs of the hospital.
• Must work at least every other holiday.
• Potential float requirement to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department.

• Auto Offer position — 3×12 schedules only. Candidates not available for 3×12 shifts will not be considered.
• During orientation, travelers must complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. An acceptable score on both is required. Failure to achieve an acceptable score may result in contract consequences.
