Senior Cost Accountant

Summary Connect Search is hiring a Senior Cost Accountant in Oak Creek. This position offers a hybrid work from home schedule of 2 days per week. Responsibilities Own core cost accounting processes to ensure accurate, timely reporting of production and inventory costs across all manufacturing locations. Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and performance trends — identifying opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement. Lead the annual standard cost roll process across all product categories. Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reporting packages to operations and business leadership. Own month-end and year-end close activities related to inventory, costing, and manufacturing financials. Partner closely with Product Development, Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain to evaluate the cost implications of new product concepts and reformulations. Build detailed cost models for new product prototypes — covering raw materials, labor, packaging, and overhead. Provide financial modeling to support pricing strategies, margin expectations, and commercialization decisions for new launches. Collaborate cross-functionally to establish target costing objectives and profitability goals for innovation initiatives. Build financial models and scenario analyses to assess the impact of cost-related decisions and operational changes. Generate ad hoc analysis and reporting to support strategic initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and leadership decision-making. Present findings and recommendations to finance and operational leadership in a clear, direct, and actionable way. Translate financial data into operational insights that manufacturing and cross-functional partners can actually use. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive cost accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, or food production. Solid grounding in cost accounting principles, inventory management, and manufacturing operations. Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills — you\'re comfortable building from scratch, not just maintaining what exists. Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
