POSITION OVERVIEW

We're hiring an Assistant Project Manager to help run the daily operations of PDB's active projects. You'll be at the center of permitting, construction administration, and document control, so this role is best suited to someone who's organized, technically sharp, and comfortable owning a process from start to finish.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

These are the primary responsibilities and expectations for this role. As with any growing team, other tasks may come up and get assigned as needed.

Permit Expediting & Coordination

• Own the permit expediting process from submission through approval across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate and help facilitate meetings with agencies, consultants, and project teams to resolve permitting issues.
• Maintain a high-level understanding of construction drawings, enough to speak knowledgeably with permit reviewers and project stakeholders.

Construction Administration

• Track, log, and organize RFIs and Submittals, keeping responses timely and the audit trail clear.
• Proactively flag open items and follow up to keep the review cycle moving.

Document Management

• Keep documentation organized and up to date across all active projects.
• Build and maintain systems, including AI-assisted tools, to standardize how documents get managed.

Plan & Comment Review

• Review plan-check comments and agency redlines with a working understanding of construction drawings and plans.
• Support resolution of comments in coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors.
  

WHAT YOU BRING

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running on the technical side and stay organized under a lot of moving pieces. Specifically:

• You can read plans confidently: architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings all included.
• You're comfortable with the technical and financial side of PM work, like reviewing contracts, catching issues in a budget, and understanding what a change order actually means.
• You've used AI tools in your workflow already, or you're eager to build that skill here.
• You can keep several things moving at once without dropping any of them.
• You don't need someone checking in on you constantly. You take ownership and follow through.
• Bonus if you've worked on hospitality, hotel, or complex commercial construction projects before.
